A day after resuming work, man kills his employer and her 89-yr-old mom

A 22 year old domestic staff, Joseph Ogbu, has been arrested for the murder of his employer, Oreoluewa John, 38, and her 89-year-old mother, Adejoke John, at their residence at Number 4 Ogunlana drive in Sururlere, Lagos state.

Joseph, from Benue State, was employed on 18th June, 2019 and committed the double murder on the following day.

In his statement, he averred that, his employer asked him to clean the house at about 9pm of 19th June, 2019, but an argument ensued between them, which prompted him to stab her with a knife. .

Joseph said the shock caused the mother to slum and die. He then moved some valuable properties such as electronics, handsets and household items into the employer's car and attempted to escape, but was apprehended by some policemen on patrol.
